Special tasting courses to enjoy the Gakkogura for a few hours!

We offer several courses that allow you to enjoy a sake tasting while exploring a lovely wooden school building “Gakkogura”. To book a tour, please select a course below and fill in the booking enquiry form.
※You can make a reservation starting 2 months before, and 5 days in advance your preferred date.

《Notes》

  • The Gakkogura is closed except for café opening hours. While spaces such as the Shikomigura (brewing spaces) are closed to the public even in the café opening hours, we will guide you there as part of this course.
  • After receiving your application, we will confirm the dates of your visit and get back to you within a few days to see if we can accept you.

Premium Tasting Course

Our staff will talk about the history, origins, and role of the Gakkogura brewery and show you around the facilities, including Shikomigura (brewing Spaces). Afterwards, you will enjoy a tasting of five different types of sake, paired with a snack. During the tasting, a mini-seminar will be held on the basic knowledge about sake, the terroir of Sado and key points of the tasting.

  • For those who cannot drink alcohol, a glass of soft drink will be provided instead of Sake.

Terms and service

Booking confirmation: After receiving your booking enquiry, we will confirm the dates and get back to you if we can accept your request within 4-5 days.

Payment: Payment can be made in cash or by credit card. Advance payment may be requested.

Cancellation: Cancellations must be notified at least 3 days in advance.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation 3 days in advance 20%.
Cancellation 2 days in advance 30%.
Cancellation the day before 50%.
Cancellation on the day or without notice 100%.
