It won a gold medal many times at an authoritative Shinnsyu sake contest in Japan. (Ten times after 2001) In addition, it won the gold medal at IWC-international wine challenge sake category 2007 in London. We received praise from the various journalists in the world.
You can feel the fragrance like matured of the fruit, the mellow taste of the pear and satisfying roundness of flavor. It may be said that it is one of the highest grade sake. The magnificent taste is unforgettable if you drink it once.
The name “Maho” comes from the former excellent Echigo brew master Maho Matsui who is present young chief brewer Kenya Kudo’s teacher.
Although the type of sake is popular to be chilled, please try it at around 15 degrees. Chilled one is excellent in a glass cup or even a wine glass. You can enjoy it with creamy taste dish etc. even without dishes.

How about “Miku”?
“Maho” is brewed with Yamadanishiki and the taste is mellow. On the other hand, “Miku” is brewed with Koshitanrei which is the Niigata original sake rice, and it is gorgeous and fragrant flavor.
